What are the risks and Benefits of benign mole removal?

  • Benefits:

    • Cosmetic Improvement: Many people choose to have moles removed for aesthetic reasons, especially if they are in a prominent location.

    • Eliminating Irritation: Moles in areas that are rubbed by clothing or during shaving can be a source of irritation, and removal can alleviate this discomfort.

    • Peace of Mind: Even if a mole is believed to be benign, a biopsy after removal can provide confirmation that it is not cancerous. This is a standard procedure and an important part of the removal process.

  • Scarring: 

    Some mole removal procedures will result in a form of scar. The goal is to minimize its appearance. We can reduce the possibility of scarring using the proper procedure and aftercare. As you can see in the above video there is no scarring after the removal of this big junctional mole in the left side of our patient face.
